Algoworks ("we", "us", "our") is committed to handling the personal data of students, enquirers, and website visitors with care and transparency. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, how we protect it, and what rights you have under applicable law — including Thailand's Personal Data Protection Act B.E. 2562 (PDPA).
Please read this policy before submitting any personal information through our website or enrolling in a program.

2. What data we collect
We collect personal data in the following situations:
- Contact form submissions: name, email address, phone number (optional), and the content of your message
- Program enrolment: name, email address, phone number, and payment information (processed by our payment provider — we do not store card details)
- Submitted notebooks: the content of notebooks you submit for feedback during your program
- Website analytics: anonymised data about pages visited, browser type, and general location (if analytics cookies are accepted)

3. Legal basis for processing
- Contract performance: to deliver the program you enrol in, provide feedback, and communicate about your progress
- Legitimate interest: to improve program content, manage enquiries, and maintain the security of our systems
- Consent: for optional analytics and marketing cookies, and for sending promotional communications (which you may withdraw at any time)
- Legal obligation: to comply with Thai law and applicable tax and financial regulations
4. How we use your data
- Responding to enquiries submitted through the contact form
- Processing enrolment and delivering program access
- Providing written feedback on submitted notebooks
- Scheduling and communicating about mentor sessions
- Sending program-related announcements (start dates, material releases, deadline reminders)
- Sending promotional emails about new programs or significant changes, if you have opted in
- Analysing anonymous usage data to improve the website and course materials
5. Data retention
- Contact form data: retained for 24 months, then deleted unless a programme relationship has begun
- Student records and submitted notebooks: retained for 36 months after program completion, then deleted or anonymised
- Payment records: retained for 7 years as required by Thai tax law
- Analytics data: aggregated and anonymised within 14 months
6. Data sharing
We do not sell personal data. We share it only in the following circumstances:
- Payment processing: payment details are passed to our payment provider for transaction processing only
- Video conferencing: names and email addresses are shared with our video platform for scheduling mentor sessions
- Analytics providers: anonymised usage data may be processed by Google Analytics if analytics cookies are accepted
- Legal requirements: where disclosure is required by Thai law or a valid legal order
7. Data security
We store personal data on secured servers with access restricted to authorised staff. Data in transit is encrypted using TLS. Submitted notebooks and student records are accessible only to the instructors assigned to those programs. In the event of a data breach that affects your rights and freedoms, we will notify you and the relevant authority within the timeframes required by Thai PDPA.

9. Your rights under Thai PDPA
Under the Personal Data Protection Act B.E. 2562, you have the following rights regarding your personal data held by Algoworks:
- Right to access: to request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
- Right to rectification: to ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete data
- Right to erasure: to request deletion of your data, subject to legal retention requirements
- Right to data portability: to receive your data in a commonly used format
- Right to object: to object to processing based on legitimate interest
- Right to restrict processing: to ask us to limit how we use your data in certain circumstances
- Right to withdraw consent: at any time for processing based on consent, without affecting prior processing
To exercise any of these rights, email us at [email protected]. We will respond within 30 days. If you believe your rights have not been respected, you may lodge a complaint with the Office of the Personal Data Protection Commission (PDPC) of Thailand.
10. Third-party links
Our website may include links to external websites (such as documentation for libraries we teach). We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites. We recommend reading their privacy policies before providing any personal information.
11. Children's privacy
Our programs are intended for adults aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has submitted data through our website, please contact us at [email protected] and we will delete that data promptly.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or applicable law. Material changes will be communicated by email to enrolled students and by a notice on this page. The date at the top of this policy indicates when it was last revised. Continued use of our website or programs after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
